Lost Cat Reunites With Family In TN After Going Missing In CA 8 Years Ago

Image
In September 2015, Joe and Leanna Drnec moved from Southern California to Knoxville, Tennessee. But when they set out for their new home, one of their furry family members was missing from the journey. Sadly, kitten Ebi disappeared earlier in the year. When the Drnecs and their cat Eunice made the move, they had accepted the little one was gone for good. The years passed, and Ebi’s disappearance remained a mystery, with Joe and Leanna holding onto the hope that someone had found their missing kitten and given her a good home. But a phone call in early 2022 brought her memory back to life and the long-lost Ebi home to Tennessee. Photo: Riverside County Animal Services Missing Shrimp Found When Joe and Leanna adopted a three-month-old kitten from the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center , they christened her Ebi. The Japanese word for ‘shrimp,’ Ebi is a purrfect name for a little kitten! But kitty shrimps can be pretty demanding, and Ebi Drnec often demanded time outdoors. “She

Peter Cohen has more than twenty rescue cats he calls family, and every single kitty lives a pampered life in the Santa Barbara home Peter crafted into a feline purradise . For decades now, his kitties have seen their house grow into a haven of ramps, scratchers, greenery, cushy beds, and so much more! But House Nekko isn’t just about giving cats a fabulous place to live. This house of cats also garners attention for ZenByCat , a nonprofit Peter started to raise money and awareness for Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) research. Instagram Creating a Zen Life for Cats Peter’s love of cats began in 1988 when a pair of kitties he adopted from his yard stole his heart. As the years passed, and he met more and more cats, that love just kept growing . And to keep his indoor cats happy, Peter used his years of construction experience to build and install catwalks designed to enrich the lives of his feline family members. Now, Peter’s home is known as House Nekko and inside those wal

What Your Pup Should Never Eat

Image
Keep your dog safe and store these items out of reach Dogs are curious creatures, motivated by food and driven to be part of the family pack. It’s only natural that they want to eat what you’re eating—or that they’ll be tempted to do something they shouldn’t, like climb onto the kitchen counter in search of something tasty. Accidents happen. You turn your back for one second, and that’s plenty of time for your pup to ingest something they shouldn’t. Some human foods cause toxicity in dogs or can injure them in other ways, which is why it’s important to monitor your furry friend as much as possible. Here’s a list of common foods or medications that your dog should not eat. If you suspect your dog has consumed some, call the ASPCA’s poison control hotline, or put your dog’s health insurance to good use and head to your local emergency vet as quickly as possible. from The Bark https://ift.tt/PMwzmsn

Cute Cat Loves Watching Fish In Aquarium With Up Close & Purrsonal View

Image
Jasper the cat loves fish. Most cats do, but they consider fish a delightful snack. Not Jasper, though. His fish love isn’t about his tummy. It’s because he appreciates the serenity he feels as he watches them swim and flit through their aquarium. And his tank isn’t just one he gazes at from afar. His mom ensured this special kitty could be fully immersed in a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree view. And Jasper gets to keep his paws dry the whole time. This remarkable fish tank has a hollow acrylic cube rising from its bottom, allowing Jasper to slip beneath the aquarium and poke his head into the cube for an ultimate fish gazing experience. TikTok Cat Love & Creative Thinking Melissa Krieger has had fish tanks her whole life, and as she told Bored Panda , “I love watching my fish.” So do her cats. Instagram And their love of fish gazing inspired a conversation between Melissa and tank expert Jason of Aquatics and Exotics in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jason has been cleaning Meliss

Maine Cat Missing Seven Years Returns Home After Being Found In Florida

Image
When a cat goes missing, families turn their minds inside out, creating scenarios of what could have happened to their purr child. And the fortunate times a cat is reunited with the family missing them so much, their humans are often left wondering what their dear kitty got up to in their time away. Just ask the Cilley family of Chesterville, Maine. Their cat Ashes went missing in 2015, but seven years later, they got a phone call from a veterinarian’s office in Longwood, Florida, that reunited them after so many years apart thanks to a microchip. But now that Ashes is home, they can’t help wondering how their kitty made it down the entire Eastern seaboard. What an adventure Ashes must have had! But she and her “squeaky little meow” aren’t spilling anything. Photo: GoFundMe Ashes Makes an Escape At just a year old, Ashes the kitten was too little to go on outside jaunts with her older feline siblings. But Ashes decided she would have her outdoor time and slipped outside. When As
