Man Creates ‘Cat Coolers’ To Keep Stray Cats Warm

Image
Philip Rogich is a hero to felines, helping stray and feral cats keep warm in the winter cold. As temperatures started to drop, Philip and his wife wanted to do something for the animals of Ogden, Utah, with no warm space to call home. Using an old cooler, a drill bit, and a wad of straw, he’s giving cold cats a chance to warm up and stay safe during the freezing months. In an interview with Fox 13 , Philip said, “Normally the cooler keeps things cold. We’re going to use it to keep animals warm.” Batman of Ogden/ Facebook “I saw a Facebook post about a man making them and thought I would give it a try. I made my own post looking for old coolers and it kind of took off. I do a lot of charity work mostly with children. My wife and I are also animal lovers and I wanted to do something for them,” Philip told Bored Panda . Batman of Ogden/ Facebook As of now, he’s made almost 80 beds and has enough coolers for 15 more. With the cooler beds placed around Ogden and Riverdale, word h

‘Cats’ Cast Trained For Feline Greatness By Co-Star James Corden

Image
To perform with confidence becoming a cat, the cast of Cats had much work to do in learning how to channel their inner feline. Bringing out the cat from deep within proved challenging, but James Corden of The Late Late Show hosted a cat class to help his costars coax forth their wild instincts. Cats Director Tom Hooper welcomed Francesca Hayward , Rebel Wilson , Jason Derulo , Jennifer Hudson , and Taylor Swift to the intensive cat school. But when class began, Hooper grew confused. Corden was nowhere to be found and a large cat twined about Hooper’s legs. screenshot, The Late Late Show with James Corden/ YouTube Oh! It wasn’t really a kitty, but James Corden acting in a most convincing cat manner. He stunned the class with his amazing feline performance. Of what he expected from his students, he told them, “that’s the level.” Becoming Jellicle Cats Attendees expected a day of fun, but Corden had rigorous training for the group, which included chasing laser pointers, a big

Teen And Missing Cat Reunited After Three Years

When Hannah Rountree decided to volunteer at Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center, she received a surprise three years in the making. Three years ago, while the Rountree family was away on vacation, their family cat ran away. For months, the family searched for Spunky. But, there was no sign of the tuxedo cat anywhere. Hannah Rountree was around twelve at the time of Spunky’s disappearance. Now fifteen, Hannah told KPIC ,  “He was my first cat and the first thing I bonded with as a child, so it was really hard; I cried a lot.” Ruth Ann Hooten Rountree/ Facebook With Spunky still missing after months, she accepted he was gone. “That’s when I was kind of like, I think he passed away, or someone took him far away.” @arahasenstab/ Twitter Losing a beloved cat was a hard truth for Hannah to learn, one cat lovers sadly know too well, but Hannah and Spunky’s tale was far from over. Dog Leash Holder DIY

Image
Like humans, dogs have lots of things. Leashes, collars, dog toys, and treats. They get stored on shelves, the top of the fridge, in any available drawer, and before you know it they lost and you can’t find them when you need them. These dog leash holder DIYs are a great way to create a storage area just for your dog to keep all of his important stuff in one place. Dog Leash Holder Ideas A dog leash holder doesn’t have to be fancy, but it does need to be functional. Things like old coat racks or a wall mounted shelf can easily be given a new roll as a leash holder just by jazzing them up a little with some new paint and hooks. Dog Leash Holder with Shelf Materials: 2 pieces of board that are the same size ( I used 1 inch x 6 inch lumber and cut them to 18 inches long. You can make them shorter or longer depending on your need.) Screws 2 -2 inch L-brackets (Corner Braces) or small decorative shelf brackets Wood Glue 5 Decorative hooks -(You can add more or less) S

Family Cat Provides Crappy Addition To Elf On Shelf

Cats are precious darlings to be showered with hugs and kisses, but sometimes the feline dears make it very hard for humans not to lose their cool. The Wright Family learned this in a disgusting turn of holiday events… Katie Wright, mother to four-year-old Oscar and two-year-old Kiki, saw Oscar really getting into the wonder of the holiday season and decided this was the year to debut the iconic Elf on the Shelf in her home. She knew she shouldn’t go too crazy with the elf setups because she had years of elven mischief ahead. Katie Wright/ Facebook “It’s our first year doing ‘Elf of a Shelf’. Oscar is only really just seeing the magic of Christmas,” Katie told LADBible I’ve kept the scenarios pretty basic; aware that I have a decade of elf placements to deliver!” Katie created a snowscape of sugar where the elf made snow angels, a quick but adorable display to delight her son. “Just a simple sugar shower and a ‘Hi’ message from the elf. Easy. This morning when we woke my son w

4,000 Miles Between Them, Couple Connects Over ‘Chonky’ Cats

Image
Cats can close the widest of distances… Making connections can be a tough thing, but the modern miracle of the internet helps the wide world shrink to just the right size for perfect chances. Anna Hosey and Adam Lawrence learned this to be true thanks to a Facebook group titled “THIS CAT IS C H O N K Y” . It all began when Adam posted a couple photos of him with a friend’s fluffy feline. Adam beamed while the cat was, of course, adorable. Scrolling through posts on the group’s page, Anna came across the cute pair. While Adam wasn’t a hefty cat, Anna liked what she saw, commenting, “Both v v cute”. Anna Hosey via THIS CAT IS C H O N K Y/ Facebook In an interview with MetroUK , Anna said, ‘I had just recently joined the group and immediately noticed Adam, so I made a comment in regards to how cute him and the cat both were.” Connecting Over the Chonk Little did she know this was the beginning of something special. All thanks to her love for her tabby kitten Kidden and the chonky

Dads Who Don’t Want Cats Spoil Felines The Most

Image
Fathers are famous for dashing their children’s hopes of adopting a fur-baby for the family. But how many dads, once relenting to the cries of please over and over again, fall head over heels for the critters they didn’t want? Probably darn near all of them because once a cat settles into your heart with snuggles and purrs, its all over. You’re a cat lover before you know it. Twitter user @roobeekeane posted a thread proving how soft dads can be when it comes to the cats they didn’t want… my dad who “didn’t want a cat” showing Lucas every item of the weekly shop because “he wants to see what we’ve got” pic.twitter.com/Uka5eccZZm — ruby🦎 (@roobeekeane) December 11, 2019 And then she offered more photo proof of how her dad spoils his beloved feline… @roobeekeane/ Twitter The post set off a whole thread of people eager to give up their fathers and the love they couldn’t help for cats they didn’t want. A cat a dad didn’t want sure makes an excellent napping companion… @v

A Mustached Gentleman, Gringo Is A Dapper Cat

Image
Cats are adorable no matter who they are, but there are those with personalities that make them upstanding felines of a fine nature. They sit so proudly and preen their paws with careful consideration while casting assessing eyes over the peasantry. While still a young cat with frisky ways, Gringo the mustachioed cat is this type of dapper darling. A British shorthair, Gringo smacks of aristocracy with his handsome mustache. @gringomoustachecat/ Instagram The handsome kitty and his family hails from France. His parents, Sabine and Romain, adopted Gringo when he was three months old. They felt their only kitty Milko needed a companion. Seeing Gringo available for adoption from Les Pattounes du Coeur , Sabine and Romain knew the mustached kitten was meant to complete their family. @gringomoustachecat/ Instagram While a fine gentleman most of the time, Sabine told Just Something , “Gringo is a happy kitty, full of life and with a really nice personality. Dr. Leon, Lawyer Cat, Knows How To Work The System

Image
Stop! In the name of the paw… Dr. Leon the lawyer is arrestingly adorable and his story serves as proof of the kindness in the world. The former street cat turned law expert and advocate calls the Order of Attorneys of Brazil home. But he didn’t always have the luxury of comfort and security. Leon began life on the streets of Brazil, hungry and alone. @dr_leon_advogato/ Instagram In his wanderings about the city of Macapá, Leon was forced indoors by heavy rains. His haven belonged to the offices of the Order of Attorneys Brazil. Given food and a box for waiting out the storm, Leon found the reception area comfy and decided to hang out. He quite enjoyed greeting visitors. Sadly, some people weren’t a fan of the blue-eyed purr petrator and filed complaints. But, as some tend towards intolerance, others are kind. Taking action to keep Leon in residence, the OAB hired the street savvy Siamese mix. @dr_leon_advogato/ Instagram @dr_leon_advogato/ Instagram Leon began his career
