Tough Kitten Swaggers Into Pizza Shop And Adopts Chef As Her Dad

Image
Since Ratbag the Vandal swaggered into Chef Dave’s Australian pizza kitchen, the fierce kitty and her dad have been best buds. It might have taken Grumpy Chef Dave a minute to realize a kitten had adopted him, but Ratbag knew they were meant for each other right away. When she first crept under a gate and into the pizza shop, the little one wasn’t sure what to make of things. But spying Dave, Ratbag knew she’d found safety and settled onto his shoulder. There, a purr filled her throat as she rubbed against his ears in thanks. Since she was friendly, Dave worried the kitten had wandered away from home, but Ratbag knew the truth. She found her family the instant she perched on Dave. Instagram Ratbag Owns the Place Dave tried to coax Ratbag from the shop so he could follow her home. She refused, insisting she was already there. And when he checked with neighbors, no one knew Ratbag. So, Dave decided to find her a home via the internet, but Ratbag declined the idea by curling up a

He was rushed to an emergency vet and spent 2 weeks in the hospital. “Spike still is unable to see since one eye was removed and the other is completely scarred, but he is a content (fat) kitten! The Bonds of Love

Image
One can never underestimate the bonds of love and connection between human beings and their animal companions, especially when they become unexpectedly separated. Such is the case when I put my German Shepherds, Sasha & Bear, out in the fenced-in yard and forgot to lock the latch on the gate. An hour later, I noticed the gate was open. They were gone. My heart sank with fear and concern for them. The dogs had gotten out before but were never gone long—this time would be different. We now live in Southern Indiana on Patoka Lake. The second largest lake in Indiana with 26,000 acres of water covering three different counties in the middle of the Hoosier National Forest, which expands 317 Sq miles encompassing 204,000 acres of wilderness. These dogs could be anywhere. Tags:  literature essays readers write from The Bark https://ift.tt/3KM6CgY

Family Blames Each Other For Not Flushing, But Their Kitten Knows The Truth

Image
Cats and their litter pans; it’s either a dream or a nightmare. Most kitties take right to the box. Just one or two visits to the litter, and it’s away they go. Others prove to be picky about their pan, their litter, and the pan’s location. You get it; some cats can be difficult where the litter box is concerned. But not a 5-month-old kitten, Kit. This County Mayo, Ireland, kitten just skipped the pan altogether and headed straight for a porcelain throne. Usually, that takes training, but Kit decided he would use a toilet like his people all on his own. Marvelous as his poop proclivities are, Kit forgot to tell his family he’d settled on using the facilities, leaving them to argue about who had a problem with remembering to flush. Until one trip to the potty solved the mystery behind the full bowl. Often Mistaken For A Dog, This Gorgeous Maine Coon Cat Is Huge & Still Growing

Image
Maine Coon cats have long been known as gentle giants. That’s because these big and lovey fluffs can reach impressive proportions. The weight range for females is 10 – 15 pounds, while males can tip scales at 15 – 25 lbs. So, because kitty boy Kefir is a Maine Coon, cat mom Yuliya Minina expected him to be big. But she never expected Kefir would grow so large that people mistake him for a dog. And he’s not done growing either. Not even two years old yet, Kefir’s still got a couple of years until he reaches his full size. And now that he’s been discovered by Instagram cat lovers , we get to follow along as Kefir keeps growing! Instagram Still, a Young Guy With Lots Of Growing To Do When Yuliya saw Kefir as a snowy white kitten at a cattery near her Stary Oskol, Russia home, she knew they were meant to be together . She chose the name Kefir for him because his fur was silky and white, just like the dairy drink. And like the rich drink he’s named for, Kefir had an appetite for only

South Korean Officials Warn About Cats & House Fires, Plus 7 Fire Safety Tips

Image
Cats are no strangers to destruction. From coffee mugs slid off counters to ruined couches, cats don’t care if they obliterate things because curiosity is a strong force. That purposeful lack of care for your stuff and the curiosity that drives them to demolition is just part of the feline way. But whether kitties mean to break your things or not, some feline accidents bring about total devastation. And fires are one of these devastations. In the past three years, the Seoul Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Department reported a total of 107 house fires caused by cats turning on electric stoves or jumping onto on/off buttons on appliances in South Korea. Preventing House Fires When Living with Cats Issuing a statement to the public, the Seoul Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Department explained over half the fires started by cats occurred when parents weren’t home. They also said extra steps to secure appliances and easy-to-press buttons in the home could help in preventing fires. “

Mirror, Mirror, On The Wall—Why Do I Look Just Like My Dog?

Image
Have you ever walked past someone walking their dog and realized they look just like the dog? If the one park scene in Disney’s 101 Dalmatians movie didn’t convince you, it’s actually more common than you think. Even the HuffPost backed up the psychological science– humans consider companions in similarity to their own resemblances, which also goes for picking your dog. Working as a professional dog trainer for over 10 years at Paw & Order Dog Training , it’s something I’ve seen so often. It’s quite comical, actually, because a lot of pet parents don’t even realize it! So why do pet parents look like their dogs? Tags:  life with dogs from The Bark https://ift.tt/3Iq8Ctu

When Benny came to FCC from the San Diego, California, streets, he needed an eye and half his teeth removed. Being a feral guy, Benny was also neutered and ear-tipped. His surgery went just fine, but the following morning brought horror. FCC staff found poor Benny freely bleeding from all three of his surgical sites. Instagram One Tough Cat They rushed him to the vet, but the bleeding wouldn’t stop. The vet worried Benny might have hemophilia , a condition in which blood doesn’t clot, and it’s considered rare in felines. If not a hemophiliac, there was also concern that he might have been a victim of rodent poison, which can also
