Mom-To-Be Delivers Kindness And Safety To Pregnant Stray Cat

Image
At nine months pregnant, TikTok user @mama.maners wasn’t looking to become a cat mom too, but the fates had a different idea in mind. Riding along in the car, the expectant mom spied a cat on the side of the road. The cat was bloody but moving, according to a video posted by Mrs. Maners. But she had no idea the cat was pregnant when she first saw her. Once the cat was in the car and headed to the vet, the mom-to-be realized her little rescue was pregnant too. But the kitty was in a bad way as she was underweight, sick with worms, and suffering an eye infection. Basically, as Mrs. Maners put it, she was neglected. Though the expectant mom wasn’t trying to adopt a cat, she couldn’t leave a fellow pregnant lady on her own. So, the Mama Cat found a place with a Mom Lady who understood her need for safety and comfort with her kittens’ arrival close at hand. @mama.maners/ TikTok Moms Together The story of two pregnant moms caught the attention of the internet when @mama.maners pos...

Pushy Cat Insists, “This Is My Chair!”

Image
Yoshitsune is a sassy cat who sits where she wants. And for her insistence on sitting in an already occupied chair, social media has fallen for this cute tabby cat. But how could Yoshitsune resist the chair? Her parents recently brought it home and as a new object in the house, of course it must pass rigorous feline inspection. But one of Yoshitsune’s parents had work to do, so her inspection would need to wait. Deeming that excuse unacceptable, she went to work claiming it her spot, to no avail. Fortunately, Yoshitsune’s mom was there, camera in hand to capture the silly cat antics. Sharing the series of photos to Twitter , users approved, offering up almost 180k likes. Have a look at Yoshitsune’s determined attempt to take over the chair! @yoshi__ben/ Instagram I Will Have This Chair! Yoshitsune first props her body against the chair and gives a little push. Then comes another more determined shove of the paw… @yoshi__ben/ Instagram When her insistence goes ignored, the ...

Doting Dad Builds Heated Cat House With Night Vision Camera For Feral Mama

Image
Who says kitties are spoiled? Well, they’re right! But why do we spoil our cats? Because they deserve every second of the spoiling thanks to the love and contentment they bring to their families. Even if a kitty is a feral cat, the joy people feel at their visits is a warm and fuzzy thing. So, to spoil his most deserving feral cat, Steve Cassano pulled out all the stops and built a cat house with heat and a night vision camera to ensure this sweet Mama had a warm and cozy place all her own. It all began when Maria, Steve’s daughter, spotted Mama Cat carrying her kitten across their backyard. Maria worried Mama wasn’t getting enough food for her body to make enough milk for the baby. When Maria wanted to put out food for the stray cat, her dad was against the idea at first, but who can say no to a daughter trying to better the world? Soon, Mama Cat was getting regular eats from the Cassano family, and she’d also stolen more than just Maria’s heart. Steve had fallen for the sweet mo...

From Puppy Grunts to Whines: 5 Things Your Puppy is Trying to Tell You

Image
Dogs are social creatures and communicate their feelings with us through sounds and body language. In a puppy’s first weeks, they’ll begin to yelp, whine, and grunt before growing and moving into more rich and complex communication methods. Learning puppy speak helps us better care for our puppy, and we can build upon these experiences as they age. In the comprehensive book, Puppy’s First Steps: The Whole-Dog Approach to Raising a Happy, Healthy, Well-Behaved Puppy, Nicholas Dodman writes, “The better you understand how [your puppy] experiences their world, the less likely you’ll be to become frustrated or angry (and perhaps treat your charge unfairly). And, ultimately, the better and stronger the bond between the two of you will be.” Tags:  dog behavior from The Bark https://ift.tt/3BiDecO

Cats can be tricky to figure out and we may not always realize just what they need to be their happiest. But don’t worry, we’ve done some research in order to help you give your cat their best life ever! But before we can get down to what crushes a cat’s spirit, let’s take a moment and think about how your cat is feeling. Thankfully, our modern-day is one that puts much emphasis on the state of our mental health. Our furkids should be included in these discussions on the wellness of mind too. And in including them, we should also understand depression presents differently in cats than it does in people, with Dr. Lynn Hendrix, owner of Beloved Pet Mobile Vet in Davis, California, explaining to PetMD , “In general, depression in humans is considered a multifactorial disease,” brought on because of chemical imbalances, situati...
